AFPM

(Australian Feedstock Prediction Model)

AFPM models the complete feedstock supply pathway.

The model integrates climate, crop development, biomass accumulation and partitioning, harvest recovery, moisture, physical form, transport and delivery.

Its principal product is a Feedstock Design Basis — a consistent engineering description of the biomass entering the processing system, including quantity, moisture, composition, bulk density, energy content and associated confidence.

This analysis provides answers about:

  • Quantity of feedstock
  • Transport logistics
  • Which production or supply-chain variables most strongly affect reliable supply?

BPPM

(Bioeconomy Process Pathway Model)

From delivered feedstock to products, energy and renewable carbon. This model evaluates how a defined feedstock can be transformed through alternative processing pathways.

It can represent pathways involving, for example:

  • Feedstock → separation → soluble fraction → fermentation
  • Feedstock → lignocellulosic fraction → fermentation / biochemical conversion
  • Feedstock → thermochemical conversion → syngas → fuels and products
  • Feedstock or residues → anaerobic digestion → biomethane
  • Residues → process heat / electricity / alternative products

BSDM

(Bioeconomy Scenario & Decision Model)

Where AFPM models supply and BPPM models conversion, the Bioeconomy Scenario & Decision Model integrates alternative configurations and answers questions such as:

  • Which feedstock mix performs best?
  • Which processing pathway creates the greatest value?
  • What happens if feedstock availability changes?
